Day 19-Fort William to Drumnadrochit (Loch Ness)-A big day and some are smashed as we arrived here

Not Internet in rooms so piggy backing on iPhone so can't load much today. hopefully more internet to moors. Did have enough time and internet to finish yesterdays photos so if you have read yesterdays already,  I have now sorted the photos bit better and had time to add some commentary.

Moving photos into iPhone fromGopro and others, and cutting and pasting photos   is not straight forward and also getting photos from iCloud and downloading to desktop and then uploading to this blog is a multi step and slow process.

Ever so harder on an iPhone so have brought my laptop which does speed it up a bit.

Apologies for the typos as don't very often go back and check as racing for next task. Apologies if a bit hard to follow

A strange image below of a Bear , but apt.

The country side is very much like home, imagine being in Waikaremoana in the wet and you have the similar countryside, loads of trees, forestry, water , big hills and lovely track.

This was just outside a walkers camp ground beside a walking trail.

Will add more photo can commentary for yesterday when have internet.

Now to clear room and pack gear and prepare for the day. An easier day today ?? I think the team would like that 😀.  Day 20 we  travel North to Invergorden I think, which is  above Inverness and Dingwall on the coast. For you at home you will be sitting down about now to watch the super 15 final without my Hurricanes in attendance. Have now been able to watch any rugby. Marion and David will be pleased that the Chiefs now have another chance.😀Go the Chiefs .

Post script-I looked at my phone this afternoon, Sat afternoon UK time for Sat night NZ time result and see that Blues won easy with a dominate performance. Fair pay blues.

The biggest sorting news in Uk is the Euros with pool play and three games each evening. Saturation

coverage. The other big news is the elections so that  campaigning is in full swing and dominates TV as well.

Below are the day 19 briefing board because its dizzling outside and actually rained quiet a bit and you will see this in the photos , rain did clear and we finished in lovely conditions

The start in the drizzle that got worse

This photo shows the clouds as we head off from Hotel. Had lovely night with Lee -Anne-Anne who had a day here and another night at Fort William.

This a stair case of locks to lift the boats up perhaps 20m metres ?

some huge boats travel these locks

Morning Tea, but we got a bit cold as wee were wet, spoke to guy who was retiring for third time. a lock engineer who had an interesting career

This was an interesting part of the trail, lovely foxgloves that are everywhere in this latitude

Water on the GoPro lenses

a shoot into the camp ground with a smaller bear inside the camp in the trees

wonderful surface on this part of the trail

Had a big uphill in this section and the influence of forestry is very evident in this part of Scotland

A neat bridge as we cross the main road coming out of one forest off the road to go back into a canal stage for a bit

Onto a canal stage again

The Lock operator levelling it up, all done with gravity and hydraulics

The sun came out as we watched the lock being changed

A skid site, timber is generally pretty small but were some large logs at this site.

Close to end of the day. the team had another hard day and we exhausted when we finished
